<![CDATA[This study aims to examine how the tradition of welcoming post-Hajj pilgrims is carried out in the village of Pesarean, as well as to examine how management functions are implemented within this tradition in the village of Pesarean, Tegal Regency. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, employing an ethnographic approach aimed at describing culture from the perspective of the actors or group members. Data collection techniques for this study include interviews and documentation. The findings of this study reveal that the implementation of the post-Hajj pilgrim welcoming tradition, particularly in applying management functions, is carried out effectively, adhering to principles such as planning, organizing, directing, and controlling. Additionally, the study uncovered the significance of “nasi adep-adep,” which, beyond serving as a symbol of charity, holds other meanings according to the community of Pesarean Village. “Nasi adep-adep” signifies a reunion between pilgrims and the community, as well as between a husband and wife who are reunited after being separated during the performance of the Hajj rituals. Meanwhile, ‘tawur’ is the Javanese term derived from the word “awur,” which means “to scatter” in Indonesian and can also be interpreted as “to spread.”]]>
