The development of digital technology has increased children’s access to digital media from an early age, highlighting the important role of parents in implementing digital parenting to support optimal child growth and development. Previous studies indicate that parental assistance, supervision, communication, limitations on digital media use, and content selection are related to children’s developmental outcomes. This study aimed to analyze the impact of digital parenting on children’s developmental status based on previous research findings. A Narrative Literature Review method with a descriptive narrative approach was used by analyzing secondary data from scientific articles. The literature search was conducted through Google Scholar, PubMed, and ProQuest databases using the PEO (Population, Exposure, and Outcome) framework. Articles published between 2015 and 2026 in Indonesian or English were selected according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. A total of 13 articles were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that digital parenting practices, including parental assistance, supervision, active communication, gadget use limitations, appropriate content selection, and parental controls, positively affected children’s cognitive, language, socio-emotional, character, and independence development. Conversely, digital media use without parental guidance was associated with excessive gadget use and socio-emotional and self-control problems.
