The development of built-up areas can reduce the capacity of the land surface to absorb rainwater, thereby increasing surface runoff. This issue is one of the concerns in Pidodowetan Village, Patebon District, Kendal Regency. This study aims to determine the dimensions and required number of infiltration wells as an approach to rainwater management. A quantitative approach was employed using annual maximum rainfall data for the period 2014–2023. Frequency analysis was conducted using the Gumbel and Log Pearson Type III distributions, followed by distribution goodness-of-fit tests using the Chi-Square and Smirnov–Kolmogorov methods. The design discharge was subsequently calculated using the Rational Method and used as the basis for infiltration well planning. The results showed that the Log Pearson Type III distribution satisfied the goodness-of-fit tests, with a 10-year return period design rainfall of 150.074 mm. The corresponding 10-year return period design discharge was 7.98 × 10⁻⁴ m³/s. The infiltration wells were designed as circular structures with a diameter of 1 m and a height of 1.5 m. The calculation results indicated that 14 infiltration wells were required, with a total infiltration capacity of 7.9968 × 10⁻⁴ m³/s and a total storage volume of 16.485 m³.
