<![CDATA[This study aims to analyze the effect of the Human Development Index (HDI) and the Open Unemployment Rate (OUR) on economic growth in 33 provinces in Indonesia during the 2019–2024 period from an Islamic economics perspective. This research uses a quantitative method with a panel data approach and secondary data obtained from Statistics Indonesia (BPS). The analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression to determine the direction and magnitude of the effects of the independent variables on economic growth. The results show that in 2019, HDI had a positive and significant effect on economic growth, while OUR had no significant effect. However, during the 2020–2024 period, HDI and OUR generally did not have significant effects either partially or simultaneously. The relatively low coefficient of determination indicates that variations in economic growth were more strongly influenced by other factors outside the model, such as investment, inflation, government expenditure, exports, and household consumption. From an Islamic economics perspective, these findings emphasize that economic growth should not only be measured by output increases, but also by its ability to achieve maslahah, distributive justice, and public welfare. This study recommends policies that improve human resource quality and expand productive employment opportunities in a fair and sustainable manner.]]>
