Abstract

Building construction projects have a high level of risk because they are unique, complex, and involve many parties, so they have the potential to cause uncertainty that can result in delays, cost overruns, and decreased quality of work. This study aims to identify risks, determine the level of importance of each risk assessment criterion, determine the order of priority of the dominant risks, and make risk control recommendations in the form of Risk Registers in the Construction Project of the FTIK Lecture Building UIN Palangka Raya. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method with a case study approach. Data were obtained through field observations, interviews, and the distribution of questionnaires to six experts from contractors and consultants who were selected based on a purposive sampling approach with expert judgment criteria. Risk analysis is carried out through two stages, namely risk screening using a Risk Matrix based on probability and impact, then weighting risk priorities using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method with the help of SuperDecisions software based on four criteria, namely probability, time impact, cost impact, and quality impact. The analysis showed that the time impact had the highest priority weight of 34.23%, quality impact 32.01%, cost impact 20.03%, and probability 13.74%, with a Consistency Ratio (CR) of 0.05, which showed consistent results. The six dominant risks obtained consecutively were addendums/contract changes (24.43%), changes in work implementation schedules (18.12%), uncertain weather (16.54%), damage to project equipment (15.59%), unavailability of materials when needed (14.28%), and low implementation of K3 (11.00%). The recommended risk control strategies include avoid, mitigate, and transfer outlined in the Risk Register as a project risk management guideline.
