<![CDATA[Glucose metabolism disorders such as prediabetes and diabetes mellitus remain major public health concerns due to their potential to increase the risk of chronic complications. This community service activity aimed to conduct fasting blood glucose and HbA1c screening as an early detection strategy for impaired glycemic control in the community. A total of 155 participants were involved, consisting mainly of adults and older individuals, with female participants predominating. The examination results showed that most participants had normal fasting blood glucose and HbA1c levels; however, cases of prediabetes and diabetes mellitus were still identified. Data distribution demonstrated a tendency for blood glucose levels to increase with advancing age, although the observed relationship was relatively weak. These findings indicate that aging and lifestyle-related factors contribute to impaired glucose metabolism. Chronic hyperglycemia may trigger insulin resistance, oxidative stress, and vascular damage, thereby increasing the risk of cardiovascular disease, nephropathy, neuropathy, and diabetic retinopathy. Regular screening and health education are important to improve early detection, risk factor control, and prevention of diabetes-related complications within the community.]]>
