The high level of commercial activity at Talang Banjar Market in Jambi City generates waste that requires optimal management. This study aims to analyze the relationship between knowledge, attitudes, educational level, and waste management facilities and vendors’ behavior regarding the management of organic and inorganic waste. This study employs a cross-sectional design with a quantitative approach. The study population consists of all 931 active vendors, with a sample of 88 vendors selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires and observation sheets and analyzed using the Chi-Square test. The results indicate a significant relationship between knowledge (p=0.025), attitudes (p=0.029), educational level (p=0.033), and waste management facilities (p=0.037) and vendors’ behavior. Most vendors still exhibit poor waste management practices. The study’s conclusion confirms that internal factors (knowledge, attitudes, education) and external factors (facilities) play a significant role in shaping vendor behavior. It is recommended that market administrators and relevant agencies enhance educational outreach and provide adequate waste management facilities to create a healthy market environment.
