<![CDATA[This paper aims to document and analyze the life journey of Mrs. Yamti, a woman who plays a role as an economic pillar through her samiler chips business and a spiritual pillar as a Quran teacher in Wonosari, Malang. The research method used is biographical research with a social history approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with 16 informants, direct observation of the manual samiler production process, and document studies in the form of old ID card archives from 1985–1994 as authentic evidence of the figure's administrative history. The results of the discussion show that Mrs. Yamti succeeded in building economic independence from a simple kitchen until her products were able to penetrate markets outside the city. This success is balanced by sincere devotion in the spiritual field that provides investment value for the village's young generation. Her figure represents a high work ethic and steadfast faith that is able to face various life challenges, from childhood economic limitations to the struggles of being a single parent, thus making her an inspirational figure for the empowerment of women and village communities. This research also formulates how Mrs. Yamti's biography can be used as a history learning medium to shape students' independent and religious character.]]>
