This study analyzes the implementation, transmission of cultural values, and social construction of marriage traditions among Sasak nobles in Reriu Hamlet, Suralaga District, East Lombok Regency. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews with the hamlet head, customary leaders, community figures, and documentation. Data credibility was examined through source and technique triangulation. Data analysis involved data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal three main points. First, noble marriage maintains a customary sequence centered on sorong serah aji krama, preceded by mesejati, selabar, taking the bride’s guardian, and taking the customary agreement. The main difference from Jajar Karang is visible in the sorong serah procedure, the use of pembayun, and the customary value of aji krama. Second, cultural values are transmitted through customary ceremonies and rituals, family education, and the use of the Sasak language. Third, the social construction of the tradition is formed through family negotiation, the role of customary leaders and pemangku, agreement on the marriage gift, and communal cooperation. These findings indicate that marriage tradition functions as a mechanism for reproducing values, recognizing social status, and integrating family and community relations. At the same time, differences between noble and Jajar Karang practices indicate selective change driven by efficiency and socio-economic considerations.
