<![CDATA[The Qur’an is the revelation of Allah SWT revealed to the Prophet Muhammad SAW as a guide to life for all humankind. This study aims to examine the status, function and application of the Qur’an in daily life, in terms of creed, worship, ethics, social dealings and social relations. The method employed is a literature review (library research), analysing various works on the Qur’an, exegesis and contemporary Islamic studies. The results of the study indicate that the Qur’an functions as hudan (guidance), syifa’ (healing), rahmah (mercy), furqan (a means of distinguishing between right and wrong), and dzikr (a reminder). The Qur’an not only governs the relationship between human beings and Allah SWT, but also provides guidance in cultivating noble character, upholding social justice, building families, and maintaining a balance between worldly and hereafter life. Therefore, a consistent understanding, recitation, reflection upon, and application of the values of the Qur’an are essential so that the Qur’an may truly become a practical and relevant guide to life in every age.]]>
