Abstract

History of the Development of Morals In the Greek Age, Socrates was seen as the pioneer of the Science of Morals. He believes that morals and forms of communication do not become true unless they are based on science. Then came Plato (427-347 BC). He was an Athenian philosopher, who was a student of Socrates. His thoughts in Ethics are based on 'the theory of examples'. He argues that other realms are spiritual realms. Then followed by Aristotle (394-322 BC), he was Plato's student. His followers were called Peripatetis because he gave lessons while walking or on a shady promenade.

Abstract

The Banjar people are residents (native) of the area around the city of Banjarmasin (the area of the Jingah River, Kuin and Kampung Melayu). This area extends to Martapura City, the capital of Banjar Regency and the surrounding area. Most historians say that 1540 AD was the year in which Islam was officially accepted by the king of the Banjar kingdom, Prince Samudera, who later changed his name to Prince Suriansyah. The entry of Islam in Banjar was through Islamic traders who traded while carrying out da'wah missions.

Abstract

In this era of rapid development, moral and ethical values are often tested because there are still many behaviours that indicate that Islamic religious education has not been successful in educating students to develop ethics and morals. Therefore, Islamic religious education plays a very important role in internalising Islamic values so that students can understand, appreciate, and practise Islamic values in their daily lives. This study aims to describe how Islamic values are internalised by Islamic religious education teachers through the habit formation method. The research was conducted at MTs Al-Ukhuwwah in Banjang District. The research subjects were Islamic religious education teachers with informants consisting of students, the head of the religious affairs department, the school principal, and administrative staff. In collecting data, the author used observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The author also used qualitative data analysis techniques with a descriptive method. Meanwhile, data validity was checked using triangulation. The results of the study indicate that the internalisation of Islamic values by Islamic education teachers through the habituation method has been implemented at MTs Al-Ukhuwwah in Banjang District. The internalisation process involves several stages. First, the value transformation stage, which involves informing or communicating what values are good or bad. Second, the value transaction stage, which involves guiding students towards the values that have been communicated. Third, the trans-internalisation stage, which involves becoming a role model or good example. The forms of habit formation in the internalisation of Islamic values include activities that occur both within and outside the learning process, such as shaking hands and greeting others, praying before and after lessons, reciting the Qur'an, performing Dhuha prayers in congregation, performing Zuhr prayers in congregation, religious activities, extracurricular activities, and commemorations of important Islamic days. With this habit-forming method, the values of faith, morals, and worship can be realised well with the support and role of Islamic education teachers in guiding and directing the personalities of students to be better, so that students not only gain general knowledge but also religious knowledge that is embedded in themselves. The factors that hinder internalisation are the influence of the environment, moral and ethical decay, and the influence of technology. Meanwhile, the supporting factors are advice from teachers, motivation and rewards, supervision, and punishment.

Abstract

The development of children's psychic aspects plays an important role in influencing their learning process. This study aims to investigate the relationship between the development of children's morality, emotions/feelings, and religion with their learning abilities. Good child morality can shape positive behaviour that supports a conducive learning environment. Healthy emotional development helps children manage stress and anxiety, thus improving concentration and problem-solving abilities. In addition, religious aspects offer ethical and spiritual values that can strengthen internal motivation and the spirit of learning. Through a comprehensive literature analysis of various research and scientific writings, it was found that these three aspects are interrelated and significantly influence children's academic achievement. By understanding this relationship, parents, educators, and education policy makers can design more effective strategies in supporting children's holistic development, thus maximising their learning potential.

Abstract

This research explores the importance of communicating with empathy as an ethical practice on social media. In an increasingly globalised digital era, interactions on social media are often marked by conflict, misunderstanding and unethical behaviour. Through an empathic approach, users can better understand and appreciate others' perspectives and feelings, which in turn reduces potential tensions and enriches the quality of interactions. Empathic communication supports honesty, transparency and inclusiveness, and promotes a more welcoming and safe digital environment. This research shows that empathy not only improves interpersonal relationships but also contributes to the formation of a more solid and harmonious online community. Thus, implementing empathic communication on social media is a key step in achieving better digital ethics and creating more humanised and meaningful interactions.

Abstract

Sufism is an effort to get closer to God as closely as possible, even to unite oneself with God, through the path of spiritual cleansing from reprehensible qualities. Starting from an effort like this, the mutashawwifin scholars then made staging formulations (maqamat, stations/stages) that must be passed by a seeker/salik in order to be able to unite with God. Therefore, in the tradition of Islamic Sufism, various Sufism theories developed, both moderate and extreme. The diversity of Sufism is increasing with the emergence of tarekat schools, which have their own methods and traditions.
