He tofu industry is one of the micro-scale business sectors that plays an important role in meeting community food needs and creating employment opportunities. However, production processes that are still carried out traditionally often result in low productivity, high labor utilization, and inefficient production time. This study aims to identify efforts to improve productivity through the utilization of simple technology in the form of a steam boiler at Bu Uyik’s tofu business in Muneng Hamlet. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques consisting of observation, interviews, and documentation. The analysis was conducted by comparing production conditions before and after the implementation of the steam boiler in the tofu-making process. The results of the study indicate that the use of a steam boiler significantly improves production efficiency, accelerates the soybean cooking process, reduces fuel consumption, and increases tofu production capacity. In addition, the application of this simple technology helps reduce workers’ workload and produces more consistent tofu quality. Through the implementation of steam boiler technology, Bu Uyik’s tofu business in Muneng Hamlet has been able to enhance business productivity, reduce operational costs, and improve the overall effectiveness of the production process. Therefore, the use of simple technologies such as steam boilers can serve as an appropriate solution for tofu-processing micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to enhance competitiveness and business sustainability amid technological advancements and increasingly competitive market conditions
