Indonesia is a country with a rich cultural diversity that has given rise to traditional arts as part of its social identity. However, the Jaranan art form faces the challenges of globalization, which have led to a decline in interest among the younger generation and a shift in sacred values. This study aims to analyze the ritual processions, the role of youth, and strategies for preserving local wisdom within the Jaranan Putro Gunung Sari art form using Émilie Durkheim theory of Social Facts and Jean-Paul Sarte theory of Existence. The research method employed is descriptive qualitative with a phenomenological approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the rituals of the Jaranan Putro Gunung Sari art form encompass pre-performance, performance, post-performance, as well as special rituals on the night of Satu Suro and Friday Legi. Young people are actively involved in all stages of the activities, reflecting their role in preserving local wisdom. Despite facing various challenges, this group has managed to survive through deliberation, mutual cooperation, and the use of social media. This study concludes that youth involvement is a key factor in maintaining the sustainability of Jaranan art and strengthening cultural identity.
