The development of a creative economy based on local potential has become an important strategy for enhancing community economic independence through value creation. One promising local resource is bonsai, which can be positioned as a living creative product integrating art, craftsmanship, and entrepreneurship. However, bonsai is still widely perceived as a hobby rather than a viable creative business opportunity, limiting its economic potential. This community service program aimed to strengthen the technical and entrepreneurial capacities of community members through creative economy-based bonsai business training in the Komunitas RumahKu Boyolali. The program adopted a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach integrated with community capacity building, experiential learning, and entrepreneurship development. A total of 30 participants took part in a series of activities, including needs assessment, training, hands-on bonsai practice, discussion, evaluation, and mentoring. The program improved participants' technical competencies in bonsai cultivation and shaping while enhancing their entrepreneurial capacity through a better understanding of value creation, pricing strategies, branding, and digital marketing. Furthermore, the program successfully transformed participants' perceptions of bonsai from merely an ornamental plant into a high-value creative economy product with strong potential for community-based enterprise development. Overall, the integration of technical training and entrepreneurship education effectively strengthened community capacity and supported sustainable local economic empowerment.
