Corn cob waste is often left unused in rural areas, including in Kerjo Lor Village, Wonogiri, where it is generally discarded or burned despite its potential to be processed into briquettes with economic value. This community service program aimed to enhance the community's knowledge and skills in processing corn cob waste into quality briquettes, as well as equipping them with packaging and marketing strategies to strengthen product competitiveness and economic independence. The program was carried out through two interconnected activities involving 30 participants in Dusun Jatimerto RT 01: Charcoal Production Training from Corn Cob (Briquette) and Product Competitiveness Strengthening Training through Packaging and Marketing Strategy. Implementation followed five stages: pre-test, material delivery, hands-on practice in carbonization, printing, packaging, and marketing, discussion, and post-test. Results showed a significant increase in participants' understanding across all measured aspects, with the overall average score rising from 1.82 to 3.71. The highest improvement occurred in briquette-making skills, followed by selling-price calculation, packaging, and branding-marketing aspects. These findings indicate that integrating production training with packaging and marketing strengthening effectively improves community capacity to develop corn cob briquettes (JABRIQ) as a sustainable, income-generating local product.
