In the manufacturing industry, the efficiency of the machining process is a crucial factor that directly impacts productivity and production costs. Material Removal Rate (MRR) is a primary indicator for measuring this productivity, where a high MRR value is highly desirable to reduce machining time. This study aims to determine the optimal values and the most influential variables affecting MRR in the turning process of ST 41 steel using a CNC machine. The Taguchi method with an L9 (3³) orthogonal array was applied to investigate the influence of three machining parameters: cutting speed, feed rate, and depth of cut. The results, analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), indicate that the depth of cut is the most significant factor in influencing MRR, with a contribution of 61.165%. The optimal parameter combination to achieve the maximum MRR of 689.274 mm³/s is a cutting speed of 130 m/min, a feed rate of 0.4 mm/rev, and a depth of cut of 1.5 mm.
