Abstract

Different electrode materials give big influence on the machining process. Some electrode will eliminate workpiece efficiently but that give a high wear of electrode, the others electrode have a low wear but ability to eliminate materials of workpieces are very low. Taguchi Method is method in engineering to improves the process of different workpiece characteristics and can reduce the cost and resources to a minimum. In this study, the experimental design used is the experimental design of Taguchi with Orthogonal Array design, analysis Signal to Noise Ratio to determine the factors that affect the wear of electrodes, and analysis of variance. The results of the discussion on the analysis of the Taguchi experimental design method in Process Parameters Using EDM In Identifying Electrode Wear is obtained decisive steps orthogonal matrix, analysis of the characteristics of the proposed design smaller the better quality types to determine the value of SNR, determine the value of the effect of each replication in each of the factors that affect the wear of electrodes, Variance analysis performed to interpret the experimental data to determine the EDM process parameters electrodes Optimum wear.

Abstract

In recent days, the bread and cake for most Indonesian people have been used as a meal replacement or substitute for the staple food. Required good planning and management in order to meet the customer demand, the customer fulfillment both in quantity and in quality, especially in the operational management of production processes. These activities aimed to assist the partners in developing their business. The methods and procedures applied in the first stage is to survey the problems of the partners, the second stage of the design and analysis of alternative dispute resolution solutions partners. Furthermore, the third phase-grant program implemented as a solution to the problems faced by each partner. Service activities has been giving grants to the first partner in the form of mixer machine, oven, counter display case and the second partner giving grant heating chocolate machine and repair mixer machine with a capacity of 9 Kg. Besides the two partners are also given training related to maintenance machinery and entrepreneurship. This service activities have an impact on first partner is number of asset’s increased up to 2.7-fold, speeds production increased by two times and followed by an increasing number of customers, and product sale also increased by two times compared to the previous. While in both partners, this event has helped to produce the information concerning the identification of base problems so that it can be used as a reference for improved planning and management development efforts.

Abstract

3D printing is manufacturing process technology that is widely developed to make a rapid prototype according to the desired design, one of which is FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) technology. The type of filament used in this study was filament PLA food grade. This study aims to obtain optimal parameters for FDM 3D printing machines in terms of dimensional accuracy. The method used in this process parameter optimization research is the Taguchi L27 OA method. The process parameters used are nozzle temperature, layer thickness, print speed, infill rate, and temperature based plate. The results of research that have been conducted show the optimal process parameter values ??for dimensional accuracy of the specimen height was nozzle temperature (185°C), layer thickness (0,20mm), print speed (40mm/s), infill rate (8%), and temperature based plate (40°C) .

Abstract

Teknologi 3D Printing dikenal dengan sebutan Additive Layer Manufacturing, salah satu teknologi 3D Printing yang terkenal adalah Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM). Prinsip kerja FDM adalah dengan cara ekstrusi termoplastik melalui nozel yang panas pada melting temperature selanjutnya produk dibuat lapis perlapis.  Penelitian mengenai pengaruh parameter 3D printing terhadap  uji tarik telah banyak dilakukan terhadap material plastik. Sedangkan penelitian mengenai uji impak terhadap material plastik masih belum banyak dilakukan. Dari permasalahan tersebut, maka diperlukan suatu penelitian untuk mendapatkan kekuatan impak terhadap material plastik. Penelitian ini menggunakan mesin 3D printing FDM model PRUSA area dengan dimensi 220mm X 220mm X 250mm dengan ukuran diameter nozel 0,4mm. Filamen yang digunakan adalah jenis plastik yaitu filamen ST PLA dengan diameter 1.75mm dengan variasi parameternya yaitu infill geometry (Grid, Lines, Triangles, Tri Hexagon, Cubic, Cubic Subdivision, Octet, Quarter Qubic, Concentric, Zig-Zag, Cross, Cross 3D dan Gyroid), nozzle temperature (210°C, 215 °C dan 220 °C) dan printing speed (30mm/s, 40mm/s dan 50mm/s) yang di tentukan pada aplikasi perancangan sehingga menghasilkan 39 sampel yang dicetak.  Hasil dari pengujian impak metode charpy tertinggi terdapat pada eksperimen uji nomor 35 sebesar 0,00653 Joule/mm2 dengan Infill geometry Concentric, printing speed 50mm/s dan nozzle temperature 220ºC. Nilai uji impak terendah pada eksperimen nomor 11 sebesar 0,00119 Joule/mm2 dengan Infill geometry Cross, printing speed 30mm/s dan nozzle temperature 210ºC.

Abstract

Cassava chips are one of the most popular snack products in various walks of life. The raw material for cassava chips is made from thinly sliced ??cassava. In the process of making cassava chips, there are many processes that are passed in the form of slicing cassava into thin, then fried, dried, Mixed together with flavoring and packaging. From a survey that has been conducted on partners, the process of mixing cassava chips that have been fried with spices is the main problem because the mixing process is still manual, that is, it uses human power and it takes time for the stirring process to take quite a bit of energy, which is for approximately 10 minutes to stir the spices with the number of chips stirred 2-3 kg and carried out by one person, this drains a lot of energy and time. From this problem, as the proponent of the Educational Institution will make a cassava chip spice mixer machine that can replace human labor, so that capacity and time can be increased. Partners will get appropriate technology in the form of a cassava chip spice mixer machine and training on the process of using the machine and maintaining the machine. In addition, Partners will always receive maintenance services if the machine provided is disturbed or damaged. To achieve this goal, the Partners and the Service team agreed to propose to increase the quality and production capacity. The development of the production process is carried out by providing cassava chips seasoning mixing machine technology with a total of 5 kg of cassava chips stirred in 10 minutes.

Abstract

In the process of making cassava chips, many processes that are passed in the form of slicing cassava into thin,  fried, dried/ drained, mixed with seasonings and as well as packaging. From a survey that has been carried out on partners, the drying process of cassava chips after frying is the main problem because the drying process still uses manual which is left to dry on an existing container and the drying process takes approximately 5-10 minutes with the number of chips being dried 2 -3 kg and done draining a lot of time. From this problem, as the proponent of the Educational Institution will make a cassava chip spice spinner machine that can replace human labor, so that capacity and time can be increased. Partners will get appropriate technology in the form of a cassava chip spinner machine and training on the process of using the machine and maintaining the machine. In addition, Partners will always receive maintenance services if the machine provided is disturbed or damaged. To achieve this goal, the Partners and the Service team agreed to propose to increase the quality and production capacity. The development of the production process is carried out by providing cassava chips dryer/spinner machine technology. With this machine, the results achieved with a total of 10 kg dried cassava chips in 10 minutes are met. So in conclusion, with the machine, partners can develop their business because they can meet market demand.

Abstract

Snacks that are often consumed when gathering, one of which is cassava chips both with family, friends and in community activities. The process of making cassava chips is passed through several stages, namely in the form of slicing cassava into thinness then fried, dried/ drained, stirred together with flavored spices and as well as packing. From the survey that has been carried out on partners, the process of stirring cassava chip seasoning is one of the main problems because the stirring process still uses manual using plastic containers. The stirring process is carried out for 2 minutes with the amount of capacity of the chips stirred only 8 ounces and drains a lot of time. From this problem, it makes a cassava chip seasoning kneading machine that can replace human labor, so that the capacity and time can be increased. The implementation method to solve the problem provides assistance with a cassava chip seasoning mixer with a capacity of 5 kilogram which works for 10 minutes in each process, provides brief training on the operation and maintenance of the machine, and receives complaints and repairs to damage that occurs to the machine. It can be concluded that the help of a cassava chip seasoning machine to partners is very helpful in the development of the cassava chip business with faster and more practical results in the use of the machine.

Abstract

Seiring perkembangan teknologi rekayasa material, banyak cara dilakukan guna meningkatkan elastisitas rompi anti peluru berfungsi dengan baik dan bobot seringan mungkin agar bisa direkomendasi sebagai material peredam. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui sifat mekanik dari material komposit dengan komposisi Hollow Glass Microsphere, epoxy, dan serat daun nanas untuk pengujian balistik standar NIJ 0101.06. Metode yang digunakan Analisis pada software finite element dengan variasi ketebalan 10mm (24.12gr serat; 21.6gr HGM; 134.87gr Epoxy), 15mm (36.18gr serat; 32,4gr HGM; 202,30gr Epoxy) dan 20mm (48.24 gr serat; 43.2gr HGM; 269,73gr Epoxy). Hasil analisis nilai deformasi yakni 49,823mm, 36,1mm dan 24,974mm. Nilai tegangan berturut-turut 20,604Mpa, 17,451Mpa dan 49,231Mpa. Nilai regangan berturut-turut 0,04056 mm/mm, 0.066374 mm/mm, dan 0,3323 mm/mm, sedangkan energi kinetik pada rompi 195,94 J, 168,31 J dan 110,59 J.

Abstract

Along with the development of increasingly advanced technology, the need to facilitate human activities is increasing. Many tools are created to facilitate human activities. Especially work that is heavy and dangerous when humans do it. One of them is the trolley as a tool for transporting goods. The tool in the form of a trolley has a main frame which is the place to be placed for loading. The material used in the main frame of the trolley is hollow galvanized with a size of 20x20x1.5mm. In this study, the analysis and calculation of frame strength using Solidworks software, with a static simulation feature so that the value of the stress that occurs can be known. Based on the results of the test, the maximum stress on the frame is 158,800,000N / m², the deflection is 4533mm, so it is concluded that the trolley frame that uses a hollow galvanized material (Hollow Galvanize) can be said to be able to withstand a load of 30kg, and it is known that trolleys can be used to help transport shopping goods. and bicycles can function according to design.
