This study aims to analyze the impact of determinants of nonperforming loans at conventional commercial banks in Indonesia during the COVID-19 pandemic and in the post-COVID-19 period. This study examines 10 conventional banks in Indonesia, as these 10 banks account for 70% of banking sector funding mobilization and disbursement. The study period is 2020–2025, covering the COVID-19 pandemic and the post-COVID-19 recovery period. The data analysis method used is panel data regression analysis. The results indicate that, under the Random Effects Model (REM), consumer loan disbursements, investment loan disbursements, and the policy interest rate have a significant positive effect on non-performing loans at conventional commercial banks during the study period, while the variables Working Capital Loans, Net Interest Margin/NIM, and Allowance for Credit Lossess/CKPN have no significant effect. This study suggests that bank interest rates are perceived as too high; Bank Indonesia is expected to lower its policy interest rate to further increase credit disbursement. In addition, banks also need to be more cautious in extending credit to reduce the risk of nonperforming loans.
