The father’s role is not limited to being a breadwinner but also includes providing attention, exemplary behavior, emotional support, and guidance that contribute to the formation of adolescent self-confidence. In daily life, fathers are still often seen as focusing more on economic fulfilment, so their involvement in parenting and in adolescents’ psychological development remains suboptimal, this study aims ton describe the forms of the father’s role and its contribution to the formation of adolescent self-confidence in Dusun Bali, Plumpang Village, Lamongan. A qualitative appoarch with a case study design was used through field research, five informants were selected using purposive sampling, consisting of three adolescents and two fathers aas supporting informants for source triangulation. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using Miles and Huberman model through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, data validity was tested through triangulation. The results show that the father’s role appears in four main forms: breadwinner, emotional supporter, role model, and guide. This study also found that economic fulfillment alone is not sufficient to build adolescent self-confidence, because self-confidence develops better when the father is actively involved through attention communication, emotional support, exemplary behavior, and guidance. The father’s role therefore needs to be understood holistically, not merely as a breadwinner but as a figure who actively participate in adolescents lives to support their psychological development and self-confidence.
