This study aims to analyze the potential for veer-off on Rapid Exit Taxiways (RET) based on the operational and geometric characteristics of the facility, taking into account traffic conditions during peak days and peak hours. The analysis was conducted by evaluating the relationship between aircraft maneuvering demand and the available geometric capacity and maneuvering capability through the Demand–Capacity Ratio (DCR) approach. The parameters used include the type and characteristics of aircraft, speed when entering the RET, turning radius, taxiway width, friction coefficient, and lateral acceleration. Furthermore, the DCR results are used to identify critical conditions that could lead to potential veer-off, referring to Galagedera et al.'s approach, which considers the relationship between RET geometric characteristics, aircraft speed, and lateral force capacity in maneuvering. The analysis results show that DCR > 1, so there is a potential for veering off the path in traffic at Minangkabau International Airport, projected for the year 2044.
