Abstract

Reading literacy is a foundational competency that underpins elementary learning, yet Indonesian primary students continue to show limited comprehension of procedural texts. This study developed and evaluated the feasibility and preliminary effectiveness of a teaching module integrated with an Electronic Student Worksheet (E-LKPD) built on the Liveworksheet platform for procedural text instruction at Grade V of SDN Selakopi, Bogor. The study used a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) and a one-group pretest-posttest design with 28 students. Data were collected through expert validation questionnaires covering content, media, and language dimensions, pre-test and post-test instruments whose validity and reliability were verified, and student and teacher response questionnaires. Quantitative data were analysed using descriptive statistics and the Normalised Gain (N-Gain) formula. The developed product obtained an overall expert validation score of 92.7% (Very Feasible), with content, media, and language specialists rating it at 91.4%, 89.5%, and 98.2% respectively. Following implementation, the mean score rose from 58.2 at pre-test to 84.1 at post-test, producing a mean N-Gain of 0.62 (Moderate). Student and teacher responses reached 90.2% and 97.5% (both Very Good). These findings indicate that the module is feasible, practical, and shows encouraging effectiveness for enhancing reading literacy, although the absence of a control group limits causal inference. Future research should employ quasi-experimental designs with control groups, larger and more diverse samples, and broader text genres to strengthen the generalisability of these findings.
