This study developed a Seren Taun local wisdom module integrating a pedagogical deep learning approach to support independence and responsibility among Grade V students. A preliminary teacher survey in Kalapanunggal District, Sukabumi Regency, reported that approximately 54.45% of students were in the low category for independence, alongside limited integration of cultural values into teaching materials. The study used research and development guided by ADDIE and involved 21 students at SD Negeri Cigoong. Reported expert validation averaged 90.24%; student and teacher responses were 89.00% and 94.00%, respectively. These percentages require reconciliation with the raw totals presented in the tables. Reported pretest and posttest means were 61.90 and 82.38. An exact McNemar test showed a change in paired character categories (p = 0.008), with eight students moving from negative to positive and none moving in the reverse direction. This test concerns categorical transitions rather than the difference between mean scores. The findings indicate favorable expert and user evaluations and a positive within-group categorical change. Further studies should verify measurement procedures and examine the module in additional settings with comparison groups before drawing causal conclusions.
