The rapid development of information technology has provided convenience in various activities, including personal financial management through Android-based devices. However, some students are still not accustomed to recording their income and expenses regularly, making it difficult for them to monitor their financial condition. This study aims to develop an Android-based personal finance recording application that can assist users in managing initial balances, recording income and expense transactions, and viewing transaction histories conveniently. The application was developed using the Waterfall method, utilizing the Java programming language in Android Studio and SQLite as a local database. Testing was conducted through functional testing to ensure that the application features operated according to the specified requirements, usability testing using the System Usability Scale (SUS) to measure ease of use, and performance testing based on the application's response time. The functional testing results showed that the main features of the application, including initial balance management, income recording, expense recording, and transaction history display, operated according to their designed functions. Based on usability testing involving 12 respondents, the application obtained an average SUS score of 48.75, indicating that its usability still needs improvement. The performance testing results showed that the application had a response time of 0.38 seconds, which can be used as a basis for evaluating the application's performance. Overall, the application fulfilled the main functions of personal financial recording; however, further development is needed to improve the application's usability and performance.
