This study aimed to improve students’ creativity and mathematics achievement through the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model among third-grade students of Class IIIA at SD 1 Al-Islam Surakarta. This study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects were 24 students. Data were collected through tests to measure mathematics achievement and observations to assess students’ creativity during project activities. The results showed an improvement in both students’ creativity and mathematics achievement after implementing PjBL. Students’ creativity increased from an average score of 62.29 in the pre-cycle to 74.79 in Cycle I and 92.25 in Cycle II, with the mastery percentage increasing from 45.83% to 95.83%. Mathematics achievement also increased from an average score of 72.50 in the pre-cycle to 79.00 in Cycle I and 85.00 in Cycle II, with the mastery percentage increasing from 41.67% to 87.50%. Therefore, the implementation of PjBL can improve students’ creativity and mathematics achievement through project activities that involve direct experience, collaboration, problem-solving, and product creation.
