<![CDATA[The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the Society 5.0 era presents both opportunities and ethical challenges for strengthening students’ religious character. This causal associative quantitative study aims to analyze the effects of AI utilization and the Spirit of Muhammadiyah Tajdid on religious moderation among students at STIT Muhammadiyah Tanjung Redeb. Data were collected through a closed-ended questionnaire using a five-point Likert scale ranging from Strongly Disagree to Strongly Agree. The population consisted of all 67 active students enrolled in the TBI and PAI study programs, with a saturated sampling technique (total sampling) employed. The instrument was tested for validity using the Pearson Product-Moment correlation and for reliability using Cronbach’s Alpha, with a reliability coefficient above 0.60, using SPSS. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results showed that AI utilization had no statistically significant partial effect on religious moderation (t = 0.682, p = 0.498), whereas the Spirit of Muhammadiyah Tajdid had a highly significant positive effect (t = 6.252, p = 0.000). Simultaneously, both variables had a highly significant effect (F = 172.820, p = 0.000), with an R Square coefficient of 0.844, indicating that 84.4% of the variance in religious moderation was explained by the two independent variables. It is concluded that AI can serve as an effective accelerator for strengthening religious moderation when grounded in the Spirit of Tajdid and a strong foundation of scholarly ethics.]]>
