This study investigates the representation of religious moderation and civic values in a Grade XI English textbook used in Indonesian Islamic Senior High Schools. Employing qualitative content analysis, the study examined reading passages, dialogues, illustrations, and learning activities in the 2013 Curriculum textbook. The analysis used four religious-moderation indicators national commitment, tolerance, anti-violence, and accommodation of local culture and six civic values: responsibility, cooperation, participation, respect for diversity, social awareness, and democratic communication. The findings show that these values are embedded through contextual themes, multicultural scenarios, polite interaction models, and collaborative tasks. Tolerance, respect for diversity, cooperation, and peaceful interaction are most visible, whereas anti-violence and national commitment are usually conveyed indirectly. The textbook therefore supports language learning while offering opportunities for character formation and democratic citizenship.
