Rephang Muaif Village, Jayapura Regency, is one of the leading birdwatching ecotourism destinations based on the observation of Birds-of-Paradise. However, tourism management still faces limitations in interpretation media, educational materials, and the documentation of birdwatching ethics and local wisdom. This community service program aimed to develop a Tourist Pocket Guide as an information and interpretation medium to support community-based and conservation-oriented ecotourism development. The methods employed included field observations, Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), semi-structured interviews, bird species inventories, observation trail documentation, and participatory validation and public testing. The main output was the Rephang Muaif Birdwatching Tourist Pocket Guide, which contains information on key bird species, birdwatching ethics, observation schedules and routes, local wisdom, customary regulations, and conservation messages. The guide supports improvements in tourism service quality, strengthens the capacity of local guides, and enhances visitors’ conservation literacy. It is expected to serve as a standard interpretation tool that promotes sustainable birdwatching ecotourism management in Rephang Muaif.
