Fishermen face a high risk of workplace accidents due to maritime activities and limited access to healthcare facilities. Interviews and observations revealed that most fishermen had not received education on First Aid for Accidents (P3K) and tended to treat injuries using basic methods without following safety principles. Therefore, first aid education is essential to minimize injury severity before professional medical assistance is available. This activity aimed to improve the knowledge and preparedness of fishermen in Banyuurip Village, Ujungpangkah District, Gresik Regency, through P3K education as a promotive and preventive measure within the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) framework. The educational activities involved outreach sessions, lectures, discussions, question-and-answer sessions, and practical demonstrations for 32 members of the Tirta Buana Fishermen Group. The results indicated that participants engaged enthusiastically and actively in discussions and demonstrations. The activity also increased participants’ knowledge and awareness of first aid principles for workplace accidents. In conclusion, first aid education can support fishermen’s preparedness to prevent and manage workplace accidents while fostering an OHS culture, particularly among traditional fishermen in coastal communities.
