This study aims to analyze the implementation of the “Miss Lazy” Ta’zir system as a form of behavior modification to enhance self awareness among students at At Taufiqiyah Islamic Boarding School. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation and interviews. The findings showed that the “Miss Lazy” system was implemented through the gradual recording of student violations based on their severity. Ta’zir was administered in the form of punishment, social sanctions, spiritual guidance, and further counseling by the boarding school counselor. Reciting istighfar, reading the Qur’an, and behavioral reflection served as means of fostering students’ moral and spiritual awareness. The implementation of this system contributed to improving discipline and responsibility while reducing undesirable behaviors among students. From a behaviorist perspective, this phenomenon demonstrates behavioral modification through punishment, negative reinforcement, and the elimination of maladaptive behaviors, applied in a humane and structured manner.
