This study is motivated by the issue of poverty and the efforts to alleviate it. Productive zakat is viewed as a potential solution, serving as an economic instrument in Islam for social empowerment. Therefore, this thesis aims to analyze the management mechanism and the success of productive zakat in alleviating poverty. This study employs a qualitative case study method with an empirical approach. It describes field conditions naturally and objectively, and analyzes data obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation at LAZ Swadaya Ummah Pekanbaru. The results of this study indicate that the management of productive zakat at LAZ Swadaya Ummah and its role in improving the economic welfare of the mustahik (zakat recipients) is deemed successful. This is evidenced by the improvement in economic welfare and business management skills among the mustahik after receiving productive zakat assistance.
