Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) is a vital mode of transportation for urban communities. This study aims to determine the perceptions of TransJakarta, TransJogja, and Batik Trans Solo service users. The theory used to analyze is the risk society put forward by Ulrich Beck. The research method employed is a mixed-methods approach, involving the distribution of questionnaires to bus users, either in printed or online (Google Form) format, as well as conducting observations and interviews with respondents representing various categories. The results of the study showed that the perceptions that emerged related to the use of BRT include comfort, security, easy payment with various methods, route or lane coverage, large bus capacity, and a definite bus frequency or schedule. In its development, public transportation needs to innovate in order to attract users. Some innovations that can be done include repairing and comforting bus stops, improving the quality of the bus fleet, adding routes, making facilities friendly to the disabled, increasing operational hours at night, sterilizing BRT lanes, improving the BRT lane information system in real-time, adding fleets to shorten waiting times, and increasing the friendliness and caution of drivers in driving the fleet. BRT users are part of a society at risk related to the use of technology in driving, the emergence of congestion, accidents, and environmental pollution. This is done to minimize the risks caused by technology by innovating and prioritizing safety for all parties, both drivers and users.
