The natural tourism potential of Padanglampe Village, Ma'rang District, Pangkep Regency, particularly the Padanglampe Waterfall, remains under-managed. The objective of this research is to provide input for the development of community-based tourism by analyzing human resource (HR) management processes, identifying supporting potentials, and determining obstacles. This study employs a qualitative and descriptive methodology. Data were obtained through documentation, direct observation, and in-depth interviews with the managers of BUMDes Harapan Jaya, the village head, the local community, and tourists. Data analysis involved data preparation, presentation, and drawing conclusions. To ensure validity, source and technique triangulation were conducted alongside the verification of informant interview results. The findings indicate that human resource management encompassing training and development, recruitment, selection, and placement is still rudimentary and community-based. Natural, cultural, and human potentials serve as supporting factors, while inhibiting factors include limited infrastructure and a lack of government participation. This research recommends increasing professionalism in HR management, improving facilities, and fostering better synergy between the government, managers, and the community.
