This study employed a quantitative descriptive method using a survey approach through questionnaire distribution to 100 respondents from the community in Depok City. The results showed that the majority of respondents (70%) understood the benefits of blood donation, while 30% of respondents still had limited understanding regarding blood transfusion safety. In addition, most respondents stated that blood donation has significant benefits in helping patients requiring transfusions, although some community members still expressed concerns regarding the potential transmission of diseases through blood transfusion. The analysis indicated that educational level, access to health information, and health education provided by healthcare professionals influenced public knowledge regarding blood donation. UTD PMI plays a strategic role in maintaining blood quality and safety through donor selection procedures, screening for Transfusion-Transmitted Infections (TTIs), blood component processing, and continuous health education programs for the community. This study concludes that strengthening health promotion and public education regarding blood donation and transfusion safety is necessary to increase voluntary blood donation participation and support safe blood transfusion services.
