The development of artificial intelligence (AI) has significantly influenced scientific writing in terms of efficiency and ethics. However, this advancement also raises concerns regarding misuse, particularly related to copyright infringement and human rights violations. This issue reflects the incompleteness of Article 5 paragraph (1) letter e and the ambiguity of Article 9 paragraph (1) of Law No. 28 of 2014 on Copyright, which do not explicitly regulate legal responsibility for AI-generated works. Using the theory of legal protection as the analytical framework, this study examines the urgency of reforming copyright law to ensure the protection of human creators. The findings emphasize the need for legal reform based on the principles of humanity and social justice so that Indonesian law can adapt to technological developments while maintaining respect for human dignity and intellectual property rights.
