Suboptimal breast milk production during the postpartum period is a common problem that can affect the success of exclusive breastfeeding. Nutrition plays an important role in supporting the lactation process. One natural ingredient that is believed to increase breast milk production is almonds, which are rich in protein, healthy fats, vitamins, and minerals. This study aims to analyze breast milk production in postpartum mothers before and after almond consumption, as well as to determine its effectiveness in increasing breast milk production at Klinik Bd. Rahmawati S.Keb. This study used a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach. The sample consisted of 30 postpartum mothers selected using a total sampling technique. The intervention involved almond consumption for a certain period. Data were analyzed using a paired sample t-test. The results showed that the average breast milk production before the intervention was 51.87 ml (insufficient milk production) and after the intervention increased to 81.97 ml (adequate milk production), with an increase of 30.1 ml. Statistical test results showed a p-value = 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a statistically significant difference. Almond consumption is effective in increasing breast milk production in postpartum mothers. Therefore, almonds can be considered as a natural nutritional intervention to support successful breastfeeding.
