Abstract

Abstract

Aplikasi SIMENSTRU berpotensi menjadi media pendukung layanan kesehatan reproduksi berbasis teknologi digital.

Abstract

Suboptimal breast milk production during the postpartum period is a common problem that can affect the success of exclusive breastfeeding. Nutrition plays an important role in supporting the lactation process. One natural ingredient that is believed to increase breast milk production is almonds, which are rich in protein, healthy fats, vitamins, and minerals. This study aims to analyze breast milk production in postpartum mothers before and after almond consumption, as well as to determine its effectiveness in increasing breast milk production at Klinik Bd. Rahmawati S.Keb. This study used a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach. The sample consisted of 30 postpartum mothers selected using a total sampling technique. The intervention involved almond consumption for a certain period. Data were analyzed using a paired sample t-test. The results showed that the average breast milk production before the intervention was 51.87 ml (insufficient milk production) and after the intervention increased to 81.97 ml (adequate milk production), with an increase of 30.1 ml. Statistical test results showed a p-value = 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a statistically significant difference. Almond consumption is effective in increasing breast milk production in postpartum mothers. Therefore, almonds can be considered as a natural nutritional intervention to support successful breastfeeding.

Abstract

Hot flush is one of the most common vasomotor symptoms experienced by women during pre-menopause due to decreased estrogen levels. Soy milk contains phytoestrogens (isoflavones) that act similarly to estrogen and are believed to reduce hot flush symptoms. This study aimed to determine the effect of soy milk consumption on reducing hot flush among pre-menopausal women in Siumbut Baru Village. Method: This was a quantitative study using a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 30 pre-menopausal women selected by purposive sampling. The intervention was the daily consumption of soy milk (1 glass per night) for 14 consecutive days. Data were collected using observation sheets and analyzed with the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The Results : Before the intervention, most respondents experienced severe (43.3%) and very severe (56.7%) hot flush symptoms. After the intervention, 60% of respondents reported no hot flush and 40% reported mild symptoms. The Wilcoxon test showed a significant difference (Z = -4.855, p = 0.000; p < 0.05), indicating that soy milk consumption effectively reduced hot flush symptoms. The Conclusion : Soy milk consumption has a significant effect in reducing hot flush among pre-menopausal women. It may be considered a safe and natural non-pharmacological alternative for managing menopausal symptoms.

Abstract

Mother's milk (ASI) is the perfect food for babies because it is guaranteed to be clean and contains antibodies that can protect against some common diseases in children. Breast milk provides all the energy and nutrients your baby needs from 1 month to 2 years. Objectives : To determine the effect of giving soy milk to increase breast milk production in postpartum mothers at the Nasywa Clinic. Methods : All mothers in this study had problems with milk production. Samples were taken as many as 30 postpartum mothers with insufficient milk production using a porposive sampling technique. The analyzed data represents body weight before and before the intervention using the Wilcoxon Sign Rank test. Results : Based on the results of this study, 21 of 30 respondents (70%) complained that breast milk was not smooth before receiving soy milk intervention. There was an increase of 19 (63.3%) in the current category and 11 (36.7%) in the non-current category. Bivariate analysis showed that soy milk supplementation had a significant effect on increasing breast milk production at Nasywa Clinic with a value of p=0.002 (p<0.05). These results indicate that the provision of soy milk (soy milk) will have a positive impact on increasing breast milk production in postpartum mothers at the Nasywa Clinic
