Acute Respiratory Tract infection (ARI) is an inflammatory process that can be caused by several viruses, bacteria, and living foreign objects, affecting one or all parts of the respiratory tract. This acute infection occurs in the respiratory tract from the nose to the alveoli, including organs connected to the sinuses, middle ear cavity, and pleura. Treatment includes the administration of boiled ginger and honey. This study aimed to determine the effect of administering boiled ginger and honey to children on symptoms of acute respiratory tract nfection (ARI) in the independent midwife practice of Sei Alim Hasak. This study used a quantitative method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample size was 30 respondents. The sampling technique used total sampling. The ntervention consisted of administering boiled ginger and honey for a specified period. Data were analyzed using a paired sample t-test. The results showed that the average prevalence of acute respiratory nfections (ARI) before the intervention was 83.3% with mild symptoms and 16.7% with severe symptoms. After the ntervention, this decreased to 16.7% with mild symptoms, and none experienced severe symptoms. Statistical testing showed a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant difference. Ginger and honey decoction was effective in reducing symptoms of acute respiratory nfections (ARI). Therefore, ginger and honey decoction can be an alternative ntervention to reduce symptoms of ARTI.
