<![CDATA[This study aims to determine: (1) the level of students' critical thinking skills before and after the implementation of PBL with CRT; (2) the improvement in students' critical thinking skills following the implementation of PBL with CRT; and (3) the significance of the improvement in students’ critical thinking skills after applying the PBL with CRT. This study employed a pre-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design. The research population consisted of eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 33 Makassar, with a total of 276 students across nine classes. Purposive sampling was used to select class VIII.1, which consisted of 32 students from diverse ethnic backgrounds. The research instrument used was a critical thinking skills test. Data were analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistics. The results showed that (1) students' critical thinking skills before the implementation of PBL with CRT were categorized as low, with a mean score of 6.41. After the implementation, students' critical thinking skills improved significantly, reaching a high category with a mean score of 13.62. (2) The N-Gain score of 0.52 indicated a moderate improvement. (3) Overall, there was a statistically significant increase in the critical thinking skills of the students after the implementation of PBL with CRT.]]>
