This quasi-experimental study aimed to investigate the effect of the Two Stay Two Stray (TS-TS) method integrated into the Discovery Learning model on the learning outcomes of 11th-grade science students at SMA Negeri 9 Makassar on the topic of buffer solutions. The research employed a posttest-only control group design involving all students of class XI MIPA. Samples were selected through simple random sampling, with class XI MIPA 1 assigned as the experimental group (24 students) and XI MIPA 2 as the control group (25 students). The research instrument used was a learning outcomes test administered at the end of the learning process. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The descriptive results showed that the experimental group achieved an average score of 75.33, while the control group obtained 62.16. The inferential analysis using the Mann-Whitney U test revealed Zcalculated > Ztable (2.07 > 1.65) at a significance level of α = 0.05. These findings indicate that the application of the TS-TS method within the Discovery Learning model has a significant effect on improving students’ learning outcomes. This implies that combining cooperative learning with discovery-based approaches can enhance students’ understanding and active participation in mastering buffer solution concepts.
