This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of implementing Flex-type Blended Learning on students’ learning interest and learning outcomes in senior high school Biology classes at SMA Negeri 2 Makassar. The study was conducted in response to students’ low learning interest and learning outcomes, as well as the limited integration of digital technology in Biology learning. Flex-type Blended Learning was selected because it provides flexible access to learning materials while maintaining teacher guidance through a combination of online and face-to-face learning. This study employed a descriptive quantitative approach using a one-group pretest–posttest design. The sample consisted of 35 Grade XI Biology 3 students selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and a multiple-choice test and analyzed descriptively using mean scores and normalized gain (N-Gain). The results showed that learning interest increased from 60.17 to 88.60 (N-Gain = 0.71) and learning outcomes improved from 59.74 to 88.31 (N-Gain = 0.70), both categorized as high. These findings suggest that Flex-type Blended Learning can serve as an effective strategy for improving students’ engagement and academic achievement in Biology learning.
