This classroom action research aims to improve students’ learning motivation in the Civic Education subject by implementing the Interactive Conceptual Instruction (ICI) model assisted by Puzzle Box media for tenth-grade Dance students at SMK Negeri 1 Kasihan. The study was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires based on the ARCS motivation model (attention, relevance, confidence, satisfaction), interviews, and documentation, then analyzed descriptively and quantitatively. The preliminary study showed low student motivation with an average score of 45.48%. After the first cycle, motivation increased to 59.38%, though it did not reach the success indicator of 61%. Improvements were made in the second cycle by introducing competition, reward systems, and more engaging puzzle designs. As a result, the second cycle achieved a significant increase to 82.51%, surpassing the success criteria. These findings indicate that integrating the Interactive Conceptual Instruction model with Puzzle Box media, especially when supported by competitive and engaging learning activities, is highly effective in enhancing students’ motivation to learn Civic Education.
