<![CDATA[Social entrepreneurship is an idea of social change based on entrepreneurship approach. The phenomenon of social entrepreneurship has grown rapidly to solve various social problems, such as economic improvement and poverty allevation. This research aims to describe the role of social entrepreneurship in developing economic of poor people by focusing on social businesses. They are Bina Swadaya and Mitra Bali. Qualitative analysis was used in this research. The result is social entrepreneurship has played important role to solve social problems. Creating social value and inovativeness is the main instrument in social entrepreneurship. Bina Swadaya and Mitra Bali have boosted society economic improvement to alleviate poverty. Social purpose in form empowerment has become an important value in social entrepreneurship.]]>
