One of the main challenges in ornamental fish culture in Indonesia is the relatively dull coloration and morphology of the fish, which reduces their market value. Bright and vibrant coloration is a key factor that determines the selling price of ornamental fish; therefore, it must be enhanced and maintained. This study aimed to determine the effect of adding Moringa oleifera leaf extract to the feed on the survival rate and color brightness of betta fish (Betta sp.). The experiment used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments and two replications: A (0%), B (5%), C (10%), and D (15%) Moringa leaf extract. The results showed that the addition of Moringa leaf extract had a significant effect (P<0.05) on both survival and color brightness. Treatment D produced the highest color brightness with an increase of 34.78% (4 points), while histological analysis revealed the highest number of chromatophore cells in treatment C, with a total of 57 cells. These findings indicate that Moringa leaf extract is an effective natural pigment source to improve the color quality of betta fish.
