This study employed an explanatory quantitative approach involving 100 employees of modern organizations in Makassar City selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling with SmartPLS. The results show that ESG-Oriented Human Resource Management has a positive and significant effect on employee engagement and sustainable performance. Employee engagement also has a positive and significant effect on sustainable performance. Furthermore, employee engagement partially mediates the relationship between ESG-Oriented Human Resource Management and sustainable performance, indicating that ESG-based HR practices improve organizational sustainability both directly and indirectly through stronger employee involvement.
