This study aims to describe and analyze how leadership rooted in local wisdom values plays a strategic role in strengthening religious moderation within a multicultural society. A qualitative descriptive approach using library research and comparative field studies was employed. Data collection was conducted through in-depth literature review, interviews, and documentation related to cultural and religious leadership practices. The results indicate that: (1) Local leadership that integrates ancestral tradition values with religious principles serves as an effective cultural bridge in maintaining harmony; (2) Local wisdom functions as a social filter as well as a source of peace ethics that rejects all forms of extremism and intolerance; and (3) The integration of transformative leadership and local wisdom successfully creates a sustainable, harmonious habit of religious moderation that is adaptive to modern social dynamics.
