Abstract

This study aimed to develop and validate a colloid practicum student worksheet using butterfly pea flower (Clitoria ternatea) ice cream as a contextual experiment and to examine teacher and student responses to the product. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method by adopting the Analyze, Design, and Development stages of the ADDIE model. Product validation involved three experts in material, media, and language, while the limited trial involved 31 grade XI students and two chemistry teachers at SMAS Mujahidin in Pontianak. The research instruments comprised validation sheets and teacher and student response questionnaires. The student response questionnaire demonstrated high internal consistency (Cronbach’s α = 0.927). Instrument validation reached 100% and was categorized as highly feasible. Product validation scores were 95% for media, 100% for language, and 95% for content, yielding an overall mean of 96.7% and a highly feasible category. Teacher responses reached a mean score of 3.33 out of 4 (83.3%; very good), while student responses reached a mean score of 3.47 out of 4 (86.8%; very good). These findings indicate that the worksheet is feasible and receive positive user responses in a limited trial. Further research should examine its effectiveness on conceptual understanding and other learning outcomes using a broader sample and an experimental design.
