Household organic waste is an environmental problem that hasn’t been optimally addressed. Current waste management impacts environmental pollution and health issues. Therefore, an innovative and sustainable approach to organic waste management is needed that not only reduces waste volume but also generates added value. BSF larvae have a high bio conversion capacity for organic waste. BSF larvae contain high protein, making them a low-cost alternative poultry feed, thereby increasing production efficiency. Community empowerment through organic waste management supports a circular economy and sustainable development.Partners are farmers from GAPOKTAN SEHATI who will receive education and training, from sorting organic waste to cultivating maggots. Overall evaluation results show an 83% increase in partner knowledge and skills. After the training, 89% of partners willput the training into practice directly with guidance from the Community Service Program (PKM) team. The outputs of the activity include cages, BSF larvae, cultivation SOP, a simple marketing scheme, and the establishment of a maggot cultivation unit based on household organic waste.
