This study aimed to determine: (1) the improvement of fifth-grade students’ cognitive learning outcomes in Pancasila Education after the implementation of the Student Facilitator and Explaining (SFaE) learning model, (2) the differences in learning outcomes before and after the implementation of the model, and (3) the magnitude of its effect on students’ cognitive learning outcomes at SDN 81 Singkawang. This research employed a quantitative experimental method using a One Group Pretest–Posttest Design. The participants were 20 fifth-grade students selected through saturated sampling. Data were collected using a 15-item multiple-choice test that had met validity and reliability requirements. Data analysis included the N-Gain test, Shapiro–Wilk normality test, Paired Samples t-Test, and Cohen’s d effect size analysis. The results revealed an increase in students’ learning outcomes after the implementation of the SFaE model. The average score increased from 42 on the pre-test to 79 on the post-test, with an N-Gain value of 0.6405, indicating a moderate level of improvement. The Paired Samples t-Test showed a significant difference between pre-test and post-test scores (t = –18.210; p = 0.000 < 0.05). Furthermore, the effect size analysis produced a Cohen’s d value of 4.072, indicating a very large effect. In conclusion, the Student Facilitator and Explaining (SFaE) learning model significantly improves the cognitive learning outcomes of fifth-grade students in Pancasila Education at SDN 81 Singkawang and demonstrates a very strong practical effect on student achievement.
