Excessive exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation can lead to various skin health problems, making the use of sunscreen an important measure for skin protection, particularly among adolescents who frequently engage in outdoor activities. However, adolescents’ knowledge regarding the benefits, proper application, and appropriate selection of sunscreen remains varied. This health promotion activity aimed to improve adolescents’ knowledge about the use of sunscreen as a means of protecting skin health. The program was conducted at SMA Negeri 13 Samarinda and involved 32 tenth-grade students as participants. The methods included an interactive educational session using PowerPoint presentations, distribution of educational leaflets, an educational game entitled “Myth or Fact?”, and evaluation through pre-test and post-test questionnaires to assess students’ understanding of the material presented. The results showed an improvement in students’ understanding of sunscreen selection. This was evidenced by an increase in the percentage of correct answers from 91.88% in the pre-test to 93.44% in the post-test. In addition, the students demonstrated enthusiasm during the educational session and actively participated in the “Myth or Fact?” ice-breaking game.
