<![CDATA[This study originated from the issue of poor daily discipline among young children at the *Satuan PAUD Sejenis* (SPS) Alamanda 2 Sukabumi. Preliminary observations revealed that most children exhibited a lack of discipline—such as arriving late (after 08:00 WIB), refusing to tidy up toys after playtime, abandoning learning tasks to run around, and failing to queue orderly for handwashing. This situation was exacerbated by teaching methods that lacked variety, relying instead on one-way verbal commands or direct reprimands. This study aimed to improve the discipline of children aged 5–6 years by implementing a storytelling method using picture books that reflect their daily lives. The study employed the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method based on the Kemmis and McTaggart model, comprising the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects were 15 students in the Group B class. Data collection involved participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of learning activities. Results indicated that, prior to the intervention (pre-cycle), the children's discipline was very low, as they followed rules primarily out of fear. Following the implementation of the picture-book storytelling method across Cycles I and II, a significant improvement in discipline was observed. The children began to understand, internalize, and voluntarily apply classroom rules—without feeling coerced—thanks to the modeling provided by characters in the stories. The study concludes that the storytelling method using picture books is highly effective as a concrete tool for fostering discipline in young children.]]>
